Yet another baby

July 29th 2009 02:09
Well-known television presenter, Rania Thraskia, gave birth to a baby boy early on Monday morning by Cesarean and both mother and baby are doing well. Early reports suggest the baby has his mothers looks, no word on whether he took one look at his proud daddy and thought he was the grandfather. Me, mean? Never! But yes, yet another baby has entered Greek showbiz. After Niki Katsona giving birth to a boy also and newly married Kelli Kelekidou ready to pop too. Now let's hope Thraskia remembers what a 'private' person she supposedly is and doesn't start splashing him all over the magazine covers....because that would be tacky. It isn't known what name he will receive yet.

How to freak me out in one easy lesson, mention pregnancy and babies. Not that they're not cute but the process itself and then taking care of a baby is not one I'd want to take part in anytime soon!

An unmissable concert

July 25th 2009 06:22
I screamed and danced arounnd excitedly when I found out my favourite Greek singer is heading out to Australia in October.

Mihalis Hatzigiannis, on our shores for what is sure to be an unforgettable concert, an event I would not miss!

This also involved me frantically logging on to get tickets on the date tickets first became available, in the first minute I was there grabbing my seats. The 9am staff meeting was at the back of my mind as I rushed to get my tickets and then dash off to the meeting, knowing that the tickets were purchased, the seats I got by logging in at 9am were fantastic and I could not wait for the day of the concert to arrive. I still can't wait, I'll be positively ecstatic on the day!

Mihalis Hatzigiannis was born in Cyprus on 5th November, 1979. He began his musical career from a young age and also has a degree in piano, guitar and musical theory. Music is his passion and fans around the world are captivated by his voice. He's also had international attention when popular German rock band, Reamonn collaborated with him to record a half English/half Greek cover of the song, "Tonight" in March 2007.

His latest album, released October 2008, "7" has been a best seller and contains some truly amazing pieces, Emeis Oi Duo San Ena, Anapoda and Anaptiras to name a few.

I'm sure my favourite song of all time will give me goose bumps to hear live, Den Feugo. It can easily be played on repeat many times over, it's that good. Some others I love and can't wait to hear live are Heria Psila, Na Meineis Edo, Pio Poli, O Vythos Sou...and I should stop before I name almost all his songs as I love so many of them!

Having toured America and Europe, Australian fans will finally have a chance to see him perform live in October. We'll be counting down the days.

Mihali, zoume gia na s'akoume (Mihali, we live to hear you (sing))!
